Toshiba Satellite C55D-A5108 RAM Stick Replacement

Introduction

This guide will show you how to remove the RAM from the Toshiba Satellite C55D-A5108 laptop. Before completing this guide please remove the battery before beginning to opening the device.

The RAM may need to be replaced if your laptop is running slow while running many programs or if you are having trouble loading into Windows.

Do not touch the golden contacts on the end of the RAM sticks as this could damage the sticks and make them useless.

What you need

  1. Toshiba Satellite C55D-A5108 RAM Stick Replacement, Battery: step 1, image 1 of 1

    • Flip over the device so that the model stickers are facing up.

    • Move the right notch to the unlock position by sliding it to the right.

    • Hold the left notch in an unlocked position with one hand and use the other hand to slide the battery out.

    • Use a Phillips #0 screwdriver to unscrew the memory cover.

    • Carefully hold the edges of the RAM and remove the stick.

    • Line up the new stick of RAM with the gold contacts facing the slot and evenly push the new stick into the same slot which you removed the old stick.
