ThinkPad X1 Carbon (2nd Gen) Battery Replacement

What you need

  1. ThinkPad X1 Carbon (2nd Gen) Battery Replacement, Cover: step 1, image 1 of 1
    • Remove the 7 philips head screws from the back.

    • Lift off back cover.

  2. ThinkPad X1 Carbon (2nd Gen) Battery Replacement, Battery Disconnection: step 2, image 1 of 1
    • Using a plastic pry tool disconnect the battery from the motherboard.

  3. ThinkPad X1 Carbon (2nd Gen) Battery Replacement, Battery Removal: step 3, image 1 of 2 ThinkPad X1 Carbon (2nd Gen) Battery Replacement, Battery Removal: step 3, image 2 of 2
    • Remove the five black phillips screws from the battery.

    • The battery can now be removed from the laptop.

    • There is one in each corner and the center.

Conclusion
