What you need

  1. ThinkPad X1 Carbon (2nd Gen) Battery Disconnection, Cover: step 1, image 1 of 1
    • Remove the 7 philips head screws from the back.

    • Lift off back cover.

  2. ThinkPad X1 Carbon (2nd Gen) Battery Disconnection, Battery Disconnection: step 2, image 1 of 1
    • Using a plastic pry tool disconnect the battery from the motherboard.

Conclusion

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
