What you need

  1. The Beatles Rock Band Hofner Bass Fret Buttons Replacement, Fret Buttons: step 1, image 1 of 1
    • Flip the guitar onto its backside, so that the strummer is facing the table and the battery compartment is facing you.

    • Use a J1 Phillips head screwdriver to remove ten 5mm short screws.

    • Use a J1 Phillips head screwdriver to remove four 5mm long screws.

    • Flip the guitar to the front, with the strummer and fret buttons facing you.

    • Use a J1 Phillips head screwdriver to remove two 10mm silver, short screws.

    • Flip the guitar on its back again, so that the strummer is facing down and the battery compartment is facing you.

    • Pull off the back whole panel so that the guitar is now open.

    • Using a J1 Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the 10mm screw at the base of the neck.

    • Remove the head of the guitar, at the top of the neck. Do this by simply pulling on it, it should slide off out fairly easily.

    • Use a J1 Phillips screwdriver to remove three silver 10mm screws at the top of the neck.

    • Pop off the red button at the top by prying.

    • Use a J1 Phillips screwdriver to remove the 10mm screw underneath.

    • Remove the 10mm screw on the fret buttons with a J1 Phillips screwdriver.

    • Remove the fret buttons.
