Introduction
Tefal Quick Kettle can no longer be turned on (you can feel that the switch doesn't move)
This is a purely mechanical failure ..... you don"t have to work on the electrical parts.
What you need
-
-
Remove the Lid
-
Remove the two screws (on either side of the handle, on top)
-
Remove the Handle
-
The linkage that leads down from the 'switch' has a kind of 'joint' made of flexible plastic
-
It's obvious that something like this doesn't last forever..... bend it back and forth 1000 times and it breaks.....
-
Planned obsolescence?
-
-
-
-
Thread the wires through the holes and adjust them.
-
To make room for them, shorten each plastic tip by 1 mm
-
-
-
Attention, to test; this little red pin has to be pushed in... otherwise the switch won't click into place
-
Work through the steps in reverse order to reassemble your device.
