TI-89 Titanium Power Button Replacement

What you need

  1. TI-89 Titanium Power Button Replacement, Power Button: step 1, image 1 of 1
    • Remove the six T6 screws from the back of the calculator.

  2. TI-89 Titanium Power Button Replacement: step 2, image 1 of 1
    • Remove the battery cover.

  3. TI-89 Titanium Power Button Replacement: step 3, image 1 of 1
    • Unscrew the Phillips screw on the internal battery cover.

    • Using a spudger or similar prying tool carefully pop the back of the calculator off.

    • Remove the back of the calculator.

    • Remove the six Phillips head screws from the circuit board.

  7. TI-89 Titanium Power Button Replacement: step 7, image 1 of 1
    • Remove the circuit board and the attached display screen. Make sure not to damage the circuit board.

  8. TI-89 Titanium Power Button Replacement: step 8, image 1 of 1
    • Peel back the rubber grommet sheet.

    • Make sure that the buttons remain attached the the rubber grommet as you remove it.

  9. TI-89 Titanium Power Button Replacement: step 9, image 1 of 1
    • Remove and replace the On button.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
