If your phone's earphone jack is not working properly, follow these steps to assist you in replacing the headphone jack.

Image 1/1: Insert the plastic opening tool in the groove located between the body of the phone and the back plate protecting the battery
  • Set the phone so the screen is facing down.

  • Insert the plastic opening tool in the groove located between the body of the phone and the back plate protecting the battery

  • Pop the white back plate off with the plastic opening tool.

Image 1/1: Use the plastic opening tool to pry up on the side of the battery, then remove the battery and set it aside.
  • Insert the plastic opening tool in between the battery and the phone body, which is housing the battery.

  • Use the plastic opening tool to pry up on the side of the battery, then remove the battery and set it aside.

Image 1/1: Pop the plastic cover off by gently pushing forward on the plastic opening tool while it is in between the cover and the phone.
  • Insert the plastic opening tool in between the white plastic cover and the body of the phone.

  • Pop the plastic cover off by gently pushing forward on the plastic opening tool while it is in between the cover and the phone.

  • Remove the six size 0 Phillips screws.

  • Insert the plastic opening tool in between the body of the phone and the thin plastic back cover.

  • Lift the black back cover off of the body with the plastic tool.

Image 1/1: Use the tweezers to pinch the earphone jack and remove it from the back cover.
  • Locate the earphone jack on the top left of the black plastic back cover.

  • Use the tweezers to pinch the earphone jack and remove it from the back cover.
