Locate the cover on the bottom of the camera.

  • Slide the plastic opening tool in between the ribbon and the black part of the clip, then flip it. (If difficult, your fingernail can also be used)

After releasing the clips, pull out black lens box.

  • This is the back of the motherboard unit.

The only thing holding the motherboard in are stationary clips. Move the motherboard back and forth until it is loose and can be released from the motherboard unit.

You are left with the motherboard unit (on the left) and actual detached mother board (on the right).
