Samsung Galaxy Light USB Charging Port Replacement

What you need

  1. Samsung Galaxy Light USB Charging Port Replacement, Remove back cover: step 1, image 1 of 1
    • Remove the back cover with the opening tool to reveal the battery

  2. Samsung Galaxy Light USB Charging Port Replacement, Remove battery: step 2, image 1 of 1
    • Now remove the battery and keep it somewhere safe for now

  3. Samsung Galaxy Light USB Charging Port Replacement, Unscrew motherboard from plastic protection: step 3, image 1 of 1
    • Unscrew the nine screws shown with the Philips #0 screwdriver

    • Be sure not to lose any screws

  4.     • You must detach and replace the entire motherboard the replace the charging port

    • Slowly lift the motherboard up to pull it off the orange strip

    • Pull slowly, you do not want to break this strip

  5. Samsung Galaxy Light USB Charging Port Replacement, Inserting in new motherboard: step 5, image 1 of 2 Samsung Galaxy Light USB Charging Port Replacement, Inserting in new motherboard: step 5, image 2 of 2
    • Due to the connector being sawdered on you must replace the whole mother boar so, insert your new motherboard

    • Make sure you line it up correctly with the orange strip

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

Typo, Step 4:

“You must detach and replace the entire motherboard the replace the charging port”

the = to

(could have been ‘to’ or ‘then’, but last step dictates it means ‘to replace the port’’
