Samsung Galaxy Gear Band Replacement

What you need

  1. Samsung Galaxy Gear Band Replacement, Display Housing: step 1, image 1 of 1
    • Use a T5 Torx screwdriver to remove the four 4.0 mm screws on the back of the device.

    • Be sure your device is turned off.

  2. Samsung Galaxy Gear Band Replacement: step 2, image 1 of 1
    • Use a plastic opening tool to separate the display housing from from the device.

    • To ensure you don't damage your device, insert the opening tool and slide it the entire length of the gap on both sides of the device.

    • Gently pry back the metal flap on top of the connector.

    • Locate the two 2.0 mm black screws and unscrew using a Phillips PH00 bit. The connector will detach from the device.

    The screws Phillips are PH000 (triple Zero)

    • Loosen the camera ribbon so it will easily pass through the watch body.

    • Grip the body of the watch and pull the band upward.

    • Do the same with the adjacent band, but there will be no camera ribbon to pass through the watch body.

    The adjacent band is not secured with screws. It is just friction fitted. I used a flat head screwdriver to loosen it and then had to use pliers to carefully lift it up out of the housing.

I have the non camera band (the one with holes )to be changed only. .... but I don't know where to buy it from and how to make sure that it will be the right one for this model SM- v700

On mine two of the screws were T5 Torx and the other two were T6 Torx, so something to look for.
