Introduction

This guide will show how to remove back casing and the battery from the Samsung Galaxy Centura. This is necessary to do when finding the phone's model number, or replacing the battery. This entire process can be done without the use of special tools, however the iFixit plastic opening tool makes getting the phone case open a little easier.

Locate the rectangular groove on the top side of the device. Firmly press the tip of your index finger, or plastic opening tool into the groove, and pull back firmly. The device should pop open as shown.
