Samsung Alias 2 Logic Board Replacement

Introduction

This guide tells you how to remove a faulty logic board and install a new one.

What you need

  1. Samsung Alias 2 Logic Board Replacement, Battery: step 1, image 1 of 1

    • Push down on the back cover of the phone, then remove the back cover.

    • Remove the battery.

    • Remove the (4) 4.2 mm screws from the four corners of the battery slot.

    • Use plastic opening tools to peel off plastic Verizon logo tab from the top of the back outside.

    • Note: The tab is stuck on there with glue, this is alright, just peel it off.

    • Remove the (3) newly uncovered 4.3 mm screws.

    • Remove the back outside casing using the plastic opening tool.

    • Warning: Do Not lose the buttons on the side of the phone, as they will come off of the phone when you remove the back outside casing.

    • Pull up on the yellow tab.

    • Disconnect connecting cord using tweezers.

    • Disconnect rectangular ribbon.

    • Remove logic board.
