Canon EOS 30 Lens Mount Rings

What you need

  1. Canon EOS 30 Lens Mount Rings, Front Panel: step 1, image 1 of 1
    • Remove the two 4.8 mm black screws above the lens on the front of the camera.

  2. Canon EOS 30 Lens Mount Rings: step 2, image 1 of 1
    • Remove the 4.3 mm black screw under the lens ring, and the 4.8 mm black screw under the camera.

  3. Canon EOS 30 Lens Mount Rings: step 3, image 1 of 1
    • Remove the 4.8 mm black screw on the left side of the camera.

  4. Canon EOS 30 Lens Mount Rings: step 4, image 1 of 1
    • Remove the front panel by lifting it away from the camera's body.

  5. Canon EOS 30 Lens Mount Rings, Lens Mount Rings: step 5, image 1 of 1
    • Remove four 7.1 mm silver screws from lens mount ring.

  6. Canon EOS 30 Lens Mount Rings: step 6, image 1 of 1
    • Remove outer mount ring.

    • The silver button may detach.

  7. Canon EOS 30 Lens Mount Rings: step 7, image 1 of 1
    • Remove thin gold ring.

    • Correct orientation is pictured.

  8. Canon EOS 30 Lens Mount Rings: step 8, image 1 of 1
    • Remove thin silver ring.

    • Correct orientation is pictured.

Conclusion

Very handy. One addition though - the silver button lever is on the wrong side - it is not facing the mirror box but the plastic lens release button. Plus, you are missing the fact that there is a spring underneatch the silver leaver which keeps the mount pin coming back up.
