1. Unscrew the four (three black, one silver) 4 mm screws on the bottom of the camcorder.
    • Unscrew the four (three black, one silver) 4 mm screws on the bottom of the camcorder.

  2. Unscrew the three 6 mm screws on the right side of the camcorder.
    • Unscrew the three 6 mm screws on the right side of the camcorder.

    • Pull back the charging port cover and remove the 4 mm screw on the camera

    • Unscrew the two black 4 mm screws on the left side of the camcorder under the LCD (One close to the hinge and one close to the back, upper corner of the camcorder).

    • Pull the casing under the hand strap directly outward and gently so the ribbon cable is not damaged.

    • Grab the ribbon cable at the connection point with tweezers and slowly lift up until the connection is separated, this connects the HDD to the motherboard.

    • On the casing with the HDD, unscrew the two silver 4 mm screws on the upper interior.

    • Pull the plastic black brace where the screws were attached gently with your hand to gain access to the HDD (The black brace will be able to come apart from the camcorder).

    • Pry under the HDD gently with the blue opening tool and the HDD should easily come out of the casing.

    • The HDD is now out (The HDD is ready to be replaced).
