  • The battery compartment has two latches to prevent the cell from falling out. First, slide the latch labeled LOCK. Then, slide the bigger latch toward the symbol that resembles pacman.

  • Batteries contain highly acidic contents. If yours has leaked or ruptured while inside the compartment, there may be damage to the cameras circuitry. Clean out any residue using latex gloves and tissues.

Use plastic opening tool to remove both components of the front panel. Once every screw and panel is removed you can now replace your backplate to make your camera weatherproof once again.
