Hi there,

Was there a spring when you did this? I took my apart and a spring popped out but I don’t know where it goes? I contacts Ninja and they don’t know exactly where it goes. Can you provide me with some assistance?

Hi! I have a Ninja and found this page encouraging although not the same model as mine. I watched a video of a woman prying it off and I saw something go flying (which I knew was the spring).

The answer to your question is that it goes in the bottom of the handle vertically with the bottom in a little cylindrical divot on the outer black plastic part. I'm washing it right now and I'll post up pictures soon. You posted this years ago so if you reply right away I'll get the pics posted sooner. I would have looked into all this sooner and had an answer for you back in 2019 but I didn't need to clean it until this year so I had no idea anyone was unsure about the disassembly and spring placement. I hope you already figured it out. If not let me know.

I have a model CT680SS btw which only requires the removal of two screws. Ok, I tried to copy and paste and no go on showing any pics. I don't know how to attach pictures here so if anyone knows, please reply to this post. The could put them on a picture hosting site but that's a pita that I wasn't really interested in unless there someone really wants them.
