Introduction
The Russel Hobbs air fryer is making a lot of loud noises. Either when setting it up, it being half way through its job or done. Too loud for normal people, so this guide is for removing the beeping/sound all together.
Technically it's possible to un-mute the sound later again, by replugging a wire.
-
-
There are 2 screws just below the upper cover of the AirFryer
-
Remove those by using a compatible thin screwdriver
-
-
-
The top panel is secured with clips, which will require some force to release.
-
Use a flat screwdriver or an opening tool to lift the case.
-
-
-
-
Be careful when opening!
-
It is best to start at the back side of the air fryer. If there is no gap there, it is best to look for a gap elsewhere.
-
Work slowly around the edge and lift off
-
Only the top part needs to come off. Not the entire upper body, which is still connected to the lower part.
-
-
-
The display is attached by 2 screws located on the upper side. Remove those and the display will come off easily.
-
The springs may be a little loose. When reassembling, make sure to press them down slightly so that the upper body can be reattached.
-
-
-
When removing the display, there are two cables connected to it.
-
The larger of the two cables needs to be modified. The strand that is at one of the outer ends, has no symbols—only text—is the one that needs to be removed. (B0)
-
It is easy to remove by pressing in the small free space in the pin and pulling on the cable.
-
After removal, the cable should be secured with some rubber or adhesive tape.
-
-
-
Everything can now be reassembled in reverse order. This time it will be quicker, partly because the plastic clips are much easier to handle.
-
Make sure that the basket is inserted when the hot air fryer is turned on. Otherwise, the fryer may not start.
-
Go through the steps backwards, to reconstruct your airfryer.
