Introduction

The display assembly for the Motorola Moto Z2 Force includes the front facing camera flash and the fingerprint sensor. The fingerprint sensor is very difficult to remove from the display assembly and will most likely end up damaging the screen, so it may be a good idea to replace the entire assembly should the sensor malfunction.

    • Insert the flat end of a nylon spudger into the crease separating the screen and the body in the lower right corner of the phone.

    • Pry open part of the screen by pulling the tool and the screen toward you.

    • You may be required to use a heating element, such as the iOpener, to heat and loosen the adhesive underneath before attempting to pry it open.

  2. Wedge the plastic opening tool between the gap created by separating the screen and body of the phone in the right hand corner to hold it open. Can I use a z2 play screen on the z2 force?

Paulo Alberto Werhli Meier - Reply

You can but they have a big difference the LCD pixelation. The Z2 Force has 2,560x1,440 pixel resolution while the play has a 1,920x1,080 resolution. So even thought it can be done it is not recommended.
