  1. Update an iOS device (iPadOS), App selections: step 1, image 1 of 1
    • Open the Settings app.

  2. Update an iOS device (iPadOS), Navigation in the menu: step 2, image 1 of 1
    • Swipe the screen to find General. Then select it

  3. Update an iOS device (iPadOS), Selection of the menu: step 3, image 1 of 1
    • Select the Software Update menu.

  4. Update an iOS device (iPadOS), Downloading and installing the update: step 4, image 1 of 1
    • If an update is requested, select Download and install.

    • Your device must be WiFi and connected to the mains or be charged to more than 50%.

Conclusion

To reassemble your device, follow the instructions in reverse order.

Question: what to do when (after pressing the update button) your iPad tells you that it's up to date, and doesn't offer any other option?

Hello !
It means that your iPad already have the latest firmware version available. The last iPadOS version is not compatible with every iPad, you can find thoses informations on the Apple website:
