Start lifting the snap on rear cover by inserting a plastic guitar pick/phone opener between the case and the cover starting in the charging bay area. Slide it around the entire cover until it comes away. It will make clicking sounds as you do so. It's ok that is the little snap on locks opening.

You will now see 6 x T5 torx screws that need to be removed. Remove them and the case will open up. The battery is held in by some double sided tape and plugged in. Remove it and put in the new one.

Is it also possible to replace the memory on this device? I keep getting software out of memory errors and it won’t let me format the drive in Windows.
Estimados, no se si aplica este hilo para realizar la pregunta sepan disculpar si no es así, acabo de recibir un Magellan Cyclo 505 que me trajeron desde EEUU , el aparato arranca normalmente y a las pocos segundo se congela totalmente, busco la posibilidad de hacer un hard reset del mismo para ver si se soluciona pero no encuentro la forma, tengo miedo de seguir probando y que quede bloqueado permanentemente, Si alguien me puede ayudar les agradeceria. En un lugar encontre que hay que encenderlo tocando el borde inferior derecho de la pantalla pero no funciona.
Dear, I do not know if you apply this thread to ask the question apologize if not, I just received a Magellan Cyclo 505 that I was brought from the US, the device starts normally and after a few seconds it freezes completely, I look for the possibility of making a hard reset of the same to see if it is solved but I can not find the way, I am afraid to keep trying and that is permanently blocked, If someone can help me I would appreciate it. In one place I found that you have to turn it on by touching the bottom right edge of the screen but it does not work.
Parece que probablemente necesite hacer una restauración de fábrica. Debe volver a instalar el sistema operativo que se ha corrompido.
Sounds like you probably need to do a factory restore. You need to reinstall the operating system which has become corrupted.

I’ve been using my Magellan Cyclo 505 without problems until now that every time I turn it on there is a message : “ Data drjve almost full. please ,mange your history in Magellan Cyclo”. I connected to the Magellan cyclo and downloaded all the GPX file but is still blocked with the same message. I would appreciate if somebody help me
You need to clear out your history. All your rides are stored in the memory of bike computer. It seems you have reached its storage limit after which it will say “Data drive is full….”. Go to Settings -> Manage -> History. The clear the files that are there. You may want to download them before deleting them

I have followed all steps to replace the battery in my magellan cyclo 500. New battery works, magellan works fine but the only issue I have that it doesn’t charge the battery? Have I done anything wrong? I was really careful with every step… I really need it to work 100%. What can I do to charge it??
