Introduction

メモリーカバーはRAM取り外しレバーがバッテリーと干渉しないように保つとともにHDDを保護する役割を果たしている。

本体の後側にあるバッテリーの仕切りに等間隔に配置された3本のPhillipsネジを外してください。
ネジは金属製メモリーカバーに固定されているため、失くす心配はありません。
(翻訳者のコメント)日本で売られているJIS規格準拠のドライバーでPhillips(フィリップス)ネジを回せないことはないですが、形が完全に合ってるわけではないので無理に回そうとするとネジ山が削れて最悪の場合組み直しが出来なくなる可能性があります。Phillipsネジ用のドライバーはホームセンター等に行けばPHxxxまたはPH#xxxという表記で売られています。(xは数字で、先端の小さい順から000,00,0,1,2...という風になっています)。あるいはiFixitのストアでも売られていますのでそちらをお買い求めください。

L字型のメモリーカバーを手前に引っ張り、コンピューターから取り外してください。

When reinserting, begin with the tip of the short side - there is a notch that seats into the front edge of the machine that needs to be pushed home before the cover will reseat properly. Near the bend on the long side, there is a locating pin that fits into a hollow in the frame beneath. Once these two things are right, the strip should position properly without any force. The small screws may take some patience to align properly and tighten but this will be much easier if the strip is properly position first, rather than trying to force it.
