Use this guide to safely remove the battery from your Lenovo Ideapad.
For your safety, drain your Lenovo Ideapad's battery before you begin this procedure. A charged lithium-ion battery can create a dangerous and uncontrollable fire if accidentally punctured. If your battery is swollen, take extra precautions.
What you need
To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

I can't get past the first step...pulling out the optical card. The rest I think I can do because I have done things like this before. I unscrewed the screw bu can't pull it out.
Unclip the tiny clips from where you removed the optical card. The back will come off
