Lenovo IdeaPad S10-2 Key Replacement

Introduction

This guide will walk you through replacing the space bar. The space bar in particular works with hinges unlike some of the other keys.

What you need

  1. Lenovo IdeaPad S10-2 Key Replacement, Key: step 1, image 1 of 1

    • Open the laptop so the keyboard is facing you.

    • Use a spudger to remove the keys by wedging it underneath the key.

    • Pull back the key to remove and separate the key from the metal bars underneath.

    • Ensure the bars are in correctly before continuing. The end of the top bar should be in the hooks and the end of the bottom bar should go through the loops.

    • To install the new key, make sure the top bar is attached to the bottom of the key and push down until a click is heard.
