Introduction
Go to step 1 ↓This is a replacement guide for the Lenovo IdeaPad 330-15IKB 81DE hard drive. This is a beginner-friendly replacement that anyone with little to no experience tinkering with electronics can do. With older products, their storage may be on the smaller side and we understand that, in an effort to reduce waste and assist in preventing readers who may own this product from overspending at a computer shop for this repair we have decided to model this process.
- NOTE: This guide will NOT cover how to install Windows/MacOS/Linux, or any other operating system onto your hard drive. Please make sure that the replacement drive you have or plan to purchase already has an operating system installed, either through cloning from your old drive, pre-installation from the vendor or any other verified methods. It is still possible to upload an OS on an empty drive that's already in your laptop; however, that is a process we will not be discussing for this guide.
- CAUTION: Be as delicate as you can when handling electrical equipment, please make sure you're working on a non-conductive surface (don't do this on your bed or carpet) just as a device safety precaution.
