Introduction

This guide demonstrates fan removal and replacement for the Lenovo G780, which may be necessary in case of fan failure or to clean excessive dust buildup.

  1. Turn off the computer. Slide the battery-lock switch on the bottom of the laptop to the unlocked position.

  4. Remove the six 9mm screws from the back panel with a #0 Phillips scrwdriver. Remove the back plate. Remove the back plate.

  5. Remove the three fan screw, two black 9mm and one silver 4mm, with a #0 Phillips screwdriver.
