LG VX8560 Motherboard Cushion Replacement

Introduction

This guide will instruct you how to replace the motherboard cushions of an LG Chocolate 3 Flip-phone (LG VX8560). There are no special skills required for this project, but be prepared to handle small screws and parts of the phone.

The motherboard is the “heart” of the phone. It connects all other parts of the phone together that help perform tasks. The cushions are what keep the motherboard separate from other parts of the phone, that way it does not get scratched or damaged.

Before beginning, make sure to power off your device.

In order to disassemble the phone, you will need to follow the General Disassembly LG VX8560 first.

Locate the cushions, which should be in the corners of the motherboard.
Gently but firmly remove the old cushions with a pair of tweezers.
Replace the cushions with new ones using tweezers.
Be sure the cushions do not move and fall out after replacement, as they are not secure in place.
