    • The backpanel is secured with two proprietary screws with oval head. They seem to be rivets, but in fact are screws. The only purpose is, to keep us out of our own devices. You can remove them using an oval drive bit. (Part of some IFixit tool collections or available at a Jura provider or iFixit). In a pitch try needle nose pliers. Here a DIY guide.

    • Remove the two oval head screws on the lower edge of the backpanel.

    • Lift the panel up.

    • The interference suppression filter is located at the top left under the main board.

    • Loosen the single Phillips screw that secures the circuit board.

    • Carefully pull off the long connector strip on the top right.

    • Disconnect the connector of the noise suppression filter at the bottom left.

    • Lift the circuit board up about 5 mm. Then carefully lift it out. Flip it to the left side.

    • The filter is fixed in the black carrier plate by a dovetail joint. To remove the noise filter, you have to push it about one centimeter to the right. It is held in place by catches, which you have to push away.

    • Carefully lift the filter out of the carrier plate.

    • The picture shows the old filter at the top and the replacement part at the bottom. The new version looks a little different, but fits. On both versions you can see the dovetail guide that holds it in place.

    • Disconnect all connections of the filter and remove them from the machine.

    • Reconnect the new filter.

    • Insert the filter and slide it to the left. To prevent it from slipping out again, you can tape it to the right side.

Conclusion

Work through the steps in reverse order to reassemble your device.
