Jazz UltraTab C1059-HL Headphone Jack Replacement

Introduction

This guide will demonstrate how to effectively remove and replace the headphone jack. This replacement will take 15-20 minutes. However, if the guide is followed to the letter, the task will be accomplished with minimal damage to the device.

What you need

Use a Philips screwdriver to remove the four screws: two at the top and two at the bottom of the device.

Place the device screen down on the table and use a pry tool to remove the back panel.

For your safety, remove the battery.
Using a solder iron, remove the wires connecting the battery to the motherboard.

Remove the screw attaching the motherboard to the back panel. Gently remove the motherboard.

The headphone jack is attached to the motherboard, so the whole thing must be replaced.
With the new mother board, use these steps in reverse to reassemble the device.
