Instant Pot Smart-60 Plastic Base Replacement

Introduction

The plastic base covers the electronic components inside the instant pot. Before you can touch anything inside of the device the base must be removed.

What you need

  1. Instant Pot Smart-60 Plastic Base Replacement, Plastic Base: step 1, image 1 of 2 Instant Pot Smart-60 Plastic Base Replacement, Plastic Base: step 1, image 2 of 2

    • Take off the lid of the Instant Pot. Grasp the handle and rotate the lid counter-clockwise, then lift up to separate the lid from the base.

  2. Instant Pot Smart-60 Plastic Base Replacement: step 2, image 1 of 1

    • Take out the inner pot and place it somewhere out of the way.

  4. Instant Pot Smart-60 Plastic Base Replacement: step 3, image 1 of 1

    • Flip the Instant Pot over on its top so that the base is facing upward.

  5. Instant Pot Smart-60 Plastic Base Replacement: step 4, image 1 of 1

    • Remove the single 12mm Phillips #2 screw holding the base to the device.

  6. Instant Pot Smart-60 Plastic Base Replacement: step 5, image 1 of 1

    • Rotate the base counter-clockwise, then gently lift the base off of the device.
