    • Align the hole in the bobbin spindle over the peg in the bobbin case.

    • Slide the bobbin into the bobbin case, leaving a bit of thread outside the case.

    • Take the loose thread end and slide it through the slit on the side of the bobbin case.

So do you have the thread coming out to the right like the photo or to the left ?

    • Slide the thread from the slit straight up along the groove and into the open hole on the bobbin case's side.

    • Keeping the bobbin in place, turn the bobbin case so that the back is facing you.

    • Use your fingernail to lift the lever on the back of the bobbin case. Hold the lever open.

  5. Installing Sewing Machine Bobbin: step 5, image 1 of 2 Installing Sewing Machine Bobbin: step 5, image 2 of 2
    • Holding the bobbin case lever open, insert the bobbin case into the cavity under the presser foot.

    • Align the metal arm on the bobbin case so that it sits in the slot in the machine.

    • Release the bobbin case.

  6. Installing Sewing Machine Bobbin: step 6, image 1 of 2 Installing Sewing Machine Bobbin: step 6, image 2 of 2
    • Close the door on the compartment below the presser foot.

You should leave a tail of thread sticking out of the compartment door. This creates tension and allows the bobbin thread to be pulled up correctly to the sewing surface. Once the bobbin thread is 'up', then you can put the table back in place.

Love it! Thank you for posting this as my wife has had to fix things on her sewing machine and it's good to have a reference other than Youtube where you can sit down and read it and make adjustments accordingly!
