Introduction

Use this guide to remove and install the LCD screen.

Image 1/3: With your finger, slide the battery cover in the direction of open arrow. Image 2/3: The battery cover will spring open, so be careful to lift it up gently. Image 3/3: The battery cover will spring open, so be careful to lift it up gently.
  • Position the camera with the bottom facing up.

  • With your finger, slide the battery cover in the direction of open arrow.

  • The battery cover will spring open, so be careful to lift it up gently.

  • Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the seven 4.5mm screws.

    • There are 2 on the left

    • There are 2 on the right

    • There are 3 on the bottom

  • Firmly grasp and pull back casing off.

  • With battery door open, grasp the front case and remove it from the camera.

Image 1/3: De-solder the joints. Image 2/3: De-solder the joints. Image 3/3: De-solder the joints.
  • Locate the 2 solder joints on the LCD casing.

  • De-solder the joints.

Image 1/3: Gently lift the screen out of its casing. Image 2/3: Remove 3mm screw from LCD casing using #00 screwdriver. Image 3/3: Remove 3mm screw from LCD casing using #00 screwdriver.
  • Grasp lower right side of LCD screen.

  • Gently lift the screen out of its casing.

  • Remove 3mm screw from LCD casing using #00 screwdriver.

  • Grab LCD casing.

  • Remove it from camera.

Image 1/2: Lift black tab gently with one finger. Image 2/2: Remove ribbon from beneath black tab.
  • Locate black tab connected to LCD ribbon.

  • Lift black tab gently with one finger.

  • Remove ribbon from beneath black tab.
