Introduction

Checking the battery is fairly easy, all you will need is a multimeter, which can be purchased at a local hardware store.

What you need

Step 1 Disassembling Sony Ericsson W200i Battery

Slide the battery cover up and off the phone.

Step 2

Pop the battery out of its slot by lifting it up.

Plug the red probe into the center jack, the black probe into the bottom jack, and turn the range selector switch to 20 DCV.
Turn the multimeter on.

Step 4

Touch the red probe to the indicated positive side and the black probe to the indicated negative side.
Replace the battery if the voltage reads below 2.5 volts.
