What you need

    • Plug in the soldering iron and let it reach optimum temperature.

    • The soldering iron is very hot. Please do not touch the the tip of the iron when it is plugged in or until the iron cools.

    • Make sure it is plugged into a 150W outlet (common household wall outlet). Check the device for damages and impurities on the tip such as plastic or grease. Please make sure the iron is not in any contact with potentially flammable items and clean the tip if the soldering iron has been heavily used.

    • Check that the connection between the wire and the device has good contact. Prior to beginning the soldering process make sure the the conjoining connections between the wire and the device are properly wound together.

    • Apply solder agent to iron until the tip of the iron is coated in the metallic agent. This agent needs to be heated to just under 400 Celsius. Use precaution not to drop hot soldering on you.

    • Touch the soldering iron to the connection and evenly apply a layer of solder to connect and create a good a connection between the wire and the device.

    Yeah, you know that saying “Those who can’t do, teach”? I think it was originally more like “Those who can no longer do, teach.” The second one implies that the one teaching has the knowledge to pass on due to them once being able to do…whatever. But the first implies that you don’t need to even know how to do…whatever, you can still teach. That’s incorrect. If you don’t have the knowledge, don’t try teaching it. That’s how bad knowledge gets around and we end up with a generation of idiots. Just saying.

    • Finally wait until the solder cools before re-assembly. It should cool within seconds of application.
