Insert the thread through the needle and knot the end of the thread.
Caution: Handle the needle with care to avoid any injuries.

Insert the needle from the inside of the jeans to hide the knot of the thread.

Insert the needle to the opposite side of the tear creating a horizontal line with the thread.

Pull out the needle from the inside of the jeans.
Then move the needle to the opposite end of the tear.
This creates another horizontal line with the thread over the tear.
