How to Repair a Eufy RoboVac 15C Max that Drives Erratically

Introduction

One day, you turn your Eufy Robovac 15C Max on, and it spins in circles. You've updated the software. You've read about how dark flooring can confuse the Eufy Robovac, but your carpet is the same as ever.

This guide is to disassemble and clean the Eufy Robovac, which will fix erratic or circular driving.

These instructions apply specifically to the Eufy RoboVac 15C Max. Model number: T2128.

Remove the RoboVac from its charging station.
Flip it onto its back to expose the underside and wheels.

Grip the single swivel wheel and pull it directly upward.
The wheel and its mount should come free without needing much force.

Use a Phillips #1 screwdriver to remove the two 8.2 mm screws from both sides of the slot where the swivel wheel's axle was inserted.

Lift the plastic axle plug from the rest of the RoboVac using the needle-nose pliers.

Examine the small metal pin clinging to the plastic axle plug.
If the pin is bent out of shape or broken, the swivel wheel will not rotate properly, affecting the RoboVac's movement.

Clear away any obstructions such as dirt or hair.
Adjust or replace the metal pin as necessary.

Remove the two tri-brush attachments on the RoboVac's underside by prying them up and away from the RoboVac. This is necessary to keep the brushes out of the way.

Use a Phillips #1 screwdriver to remove the eight 7.6 mm screws along the underside of the RoboVac's bumper.

Remove the two black plastic fasteners that were held in place by the screws.

Remove the RoboVac's front bumper, which was held in place by the fasteners.
Avoid yanking the connecting cable between the RoboVac and the bumper.

Unplug the connecting cable between the RoboVac and the bumper.
Do not pull the cords of the connecting cable; this can rip the cords from the white block. Use force on the white block instead.
Set the bumper aside.

Wipe the three black cliff sensors with a melamine sponge.

Ensure that the bumper's two small lever arms spring back when pushed in.
Replace if necessary.
A jammed or broken bumper will cause the RoboVac to falsely believe there are obstructions ahead of it, causing it to drive erratically.
