How to Fix a Stuck Trigger on an AdTech Basic Mini Hi-Temp Glue Gun

Place the glue gun on a stable surface to begin the repair.

Using a Phillips #0 screwdriver, remove the five screws from the side of the glue gun.

Gently pry apart the outer casing into two halves.

Check the trigger area for any clogged glue.

If you find any glue buildup, carefully remove it using a utility knife or tweezers.

If the trigger is still stuck, make sure to secure the internal parts and that they are properly aligned.

Remove the spring from the trigger mechanism by gently pulling it off the peg.

Pull out the silver pin from the top part of the trigger and dome piece and set it aside.

Ensure the dome piece is aligned properly within the casing.

Place the trigger mechanism back inside the casing.

Reinstall the spring by gently pulling it back onto the peg.

Align the holes in the trigger’s top part with the holes in the dome piece by sliding the trigger into position.

Insert the pin through the aligned holes in both parts. Push all the way through to properly secure them.

Check that all the internal parts are aligned and seated correctly.

Place the two halves back together and align them with the screw holes.

Reinstall the five screws.

Plug in the glue gun to test and see if the trigger moves smoothly and dispenses glue.
