Honeytone N-10 Mini Amp Speaker Replacement

What you need

    • Flip your amp over to begin removing the plastic cover.

    • Remove the battery cover and take the battery out.

    • Unless you want a quick pick-me-up, in which case feel free to leave it in and get shocked.

    • Unscrew the four corner screws using a phillips #0 screw driver to remove the back cover.

    • While the screws are recessed deep into the cover and difficult to see, 2-4 turns will easily release them.

    • Remove the back cover by carefully pushing the battery connector through the hole in the cover.

    • With the phillips #0 screwdriver, unscrew the two white plastic clips that hold the speaker in place.

    • Use flush wire cutters to remove black and red wires from the old speaker.

    • Note: The black wire has already been removed in this example image.

    • Connect the new speaker by soldering the black and red wires to the negative and positive connections respectively

    • Connect the battery and turn the power on to test proper connection of the new speaker.

    • Some static is fine, this is the natural sound of the amp.

    • Careful not to touch any of the metal components inside while temporarily testing the connection.

    • Reverse steps 1-5 to complete repair.

    • Connect the amp to your favorite instrument and test out the new sound!
