I will demonstrate how to replace the non-replacable battery in the Hipstreet Phoenix. Be careful, as it may be swollen.


No parts required.

  • OK. So here we go. This guide will demonstrate how to replace the battery in the device shown. And sorry for the bad image quality, my camera lens is dirty.

  • If you don't, you could have a lithium ion fire, and that's no good.

  • OK. Mine suffered this, and it still works. That's for the record. You will need a eyeglass screwdriver, or if the battery already puffed up, you don't need it or then you have a step 2 case, and nobody wants that.

  • Be VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY careful. You now have to remove the battery with scissors. Cut the leads. I don't have a picture, so imagine step 3's image having a battery, and cut the 2 leads with scissors.

  • On mine, I used one of the pads used to secure the battery to hold the loose leads. You now have to reseal the case; use that screwdriver. If you did already; and it's currently on your desk being a 40 dollar paperweight, you are done! Now go hook it up to a computer and transfer music files! Note: you need to be careful, if your (look at line 2)

  • (continued from line 1) cable's tip is bent, you have to be careful.
