Introduction

The speakers could have been broken by playing audio files that have been altered to excessive volume levels, or maybe they got wet and broke apart. This guide explains how to change them out.

  • Remove these two 3mm screws using a PH00 Screwdriver

  • Use the blue plastic opening tool to gently pry the back case off

  • Remove the speakers (labeled in the image) using the plastic opening tool to separate each from the glue, and unsolder the wires from the motherboard. ****Make sure to label the points on the motherboard to correspond to red or black, and which speaker they are for.

  • To install new speakers, begin by soldering the wires to the motherboard as shown in this picture.

  • Glue the speakers flat against their respective sound output panels, with the silver sides facing out/towards the interior of the tablet. (opposite side of silver is where the glue is applied)
