    • Use a plastic opening tool (or equivalent) to lift the back side of the cover. Small tabs hold the cover in place. Firmly pull up on the cover to release the tabs.

    • Remove the cover

    • Spread the retaining tabs on each side of the memory module slot to release the memory module. Remove the module as needed

There are two memory modules! After spreading the retaining tabs on the upper module, lift the module and remove the old memory.  Then spread the retaining tabs on the lower module, lift that module and remove that memory. Put a new memory module in the lower holder and press it down till the retaining tabs click. Then do the same with the upper module. Put the cover back on and plug your computer back in and turn on. Check that the new memory is recognized by pressing the Start button and enter “ram”. Click the check the ram and up pops a screen which should show the amount of RAM installed. Finally (maybe) run the Windows Memory Diagnostic test. This is obtainable from the Start key. Just follow the directions to check that your newly installed RAM is all good.
