Use this guide when replacing the storage drive on a HP Elitebook 840 G7.

What you need

  1. HP Elitebook 840 G7 M.2 NVMe SSD Replacement, M.2 NVMe SSD: step 1, image 1 of 1

    • Turn the laptop on its back

    • Use your Phillips # 1 screwdriver and remove the five 1.2mm screws from the back cover of the laptop

    • Removing the back cover to expose the hardware

    • Locate the M.2 storage stick and remove the 1.2 mm screw with a Phillips # 1 screwdriver

    • Grab with M.2 storage with your hand and pull away to remove
