HP Chromebook CB2L Troubleshooting

First flip your HP Chromebook CB2L over such that the bottom is facing upwards. Next, using the plastic opening tool remove the blue panel.

the step about gently prying the underside of the laptop off made me snap off two screws under the thin blue rubber strip ! i see the holes they went in in the pictures in this guide. i understand that strip was glued on and it doesn't seem necessary to put those back (since i can't unglue the strip to put those screws back in) but.. yeah. it was unexpected and i thought i'd done something wrong.
