Introduction

You will be disassembling the HP 7 1800 and using a soldering iron to replace the audio jack.

  1. Use a Spudger to open the back panel. Be careful not to break the tabs. Use a Spudger to open the back panel. Be careful not to break the tabs.

  2. Desolder the top lead for the six solder points.

  3. Once the solder is removed, gently pull the audio jack away from the motherboard with tweezers.
