• Checking the battery voltage and verifying that the voltage from the recharge cradle reaches the battery.
• Necessary tools:
• Phillips "star" screwdriver, medium size.
• Digital multimeter with DC Volts, VDC measurement
• Optional: 2 office clips and insulating tape or heat shrink tubing to wrap around them.

• With a medium sized Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the 2 screws of the battery cover.

• We will check in the data sheet what is the voltage of the same. In this case it is 14.4 V. To disconnect or to replace the battery we have next to this the white connector, we press the tab, and stretching we release the battery.

• The hole for inserting the multimeter test leads is quite narrow, so we can use office paper clips if the test leads do not fit.
• Multimeter scale to be used, V DC scale higher than 15 V. In this multimeter the closest upper scale is the 20 V scale.
• With the side ON/OFF switch open = OFF, we measure the battery.
• Measured between 14.4 and 14.5V

• Activating the side power button ON/OFF, we proceed to measure the battery again. In this case, since the robot is running and there's battery consumption, the voltage drops slightly. For example, it measures 14.18 V.

• We place the charging base on the 2 charging terminals of the robot. (I put the battery on top to ensure good contact between the terminals). We will verify that the voltage should increase, going from 14.5 V to a charging voltage of 14.72 V or slightly higher.

• By activating and deactivating the side ON/OFF button, we will observe how the voltage varies between the battery voltage and the charging voltage.
• In this case, both the battery and the charging base have correct voltages.
• This check is performed to rule out a common battery problem in this type of cleaning robot. Once the battery issue is ruled out for this specific robot, the fault is localised to one of the wheels/motors.
