Garmin Forerunner 405 Battery Replacement

This guide will walk you through the process of replacing a dead or dying battery in a Garmin Forerunner 405.

What you need

  1. Garmin Forerunner 405 Battery Replacement, Unscrew: step 1, image 1 of 1

    • Unscrew the four 6.35 mm Torx T5 screws securing the backing of the watch.

  2. Garmin Forerunner 405 Battery Replacement, Separate Component: step 2, image 1 of 1

    • Pull the backing off the watch.

  4. Garmin Forerunner 405 Battery Replacement, Separate: step 3, image 1 of 1

    • Pull the battery wires out from the motherboard.

  5. Garmin Forerunner 405 Battery Replacement, Replace: step 4, image 1 of 1

    • Replace battery module with backing of watch.
