  • Open the side panel, housing the battery compartment, by pressing the center button down and twisting the dial.

  • Release the battery from its secured position by pulling the orange tab back. The battery can then be removed from its compartment.

  • Locate and remove the screws (2mm, 5 each) on the bottom of the camera, using PH000 Phillip hex head bit.

  • Located and remove the screws (2mm, 2 each) from the top of the camera, using H1.3 hex head bit.

  • Locate and remove the screws (2mm, 2 each) on the side of the camera, using H1.3 hex head bit.

  • Using a plastic opening tool, gently start to pry the button case, located at the top of the camera, so it unclips.

  • Continue to the side of the camera to gently pry the side area of the case apart.

  • Continue to the bottom of the camera and gently pry the case apart.

  • It is now safe to remove the yellow front panel. While using your plastic opening tool, gently pry the front panel away from the camera.

  • Unclip the front interior panel from the top, bottom and side of the camera.

  • Gently open the camera, taking care of the major data lines connecting the motherboard to the LCD screen.

  • Carefully remove the black sticker covering the motherboard as shown, once the camera is exposed.

  • Using PH000 Phillips head bit, remove the screws shown.

  • Using a plastic opening tool, carefully remove the housing to the left of the motherboard.

  • Peel back the sticker on the side of the motherboard and remove the screws using a PH000 Phillips head bit.

Image 1/2: Unclip the two data ports indicated by the arrows. Image 2/2: Once the data lines are unclipped, gently pry the motherboard to expose the speaker.
  • Remove the screws using a PH000 Phillips head bit.
