Introduction
Go to step 1 ↓Picture this: you are riding your bike down the street, and a pedestrian steps out into the street. You go to ring your Electra Domed Ringer Bike Bell, but there’s no ring when you pull the lever. What do you do now? You can fix it! This guide will assist you in disassembling and removing rust from the metal band attached to the lever—the component responsible for the ringing sound when the lever is pulled. Fixing an Electra Domed Ringer Bike Bell with a faulty metal band yourself is a fast and easy process that will also save you money and prevent unneeded waste.

Twist the top cover to remove it from the bell.

If twisting does not work, pry around the edges of the top cover using a metal spudger to remove it.

Use the tweezers to gently bend up the prongs on the metal four-pronged rings.

Remove the hammer by gently lifting it off of the spring.

Set the hammer aside with the other pieces.

Move the spring until it is off the spoke, then remove the spring from the metal band.

Set the spring aside with the other parts.

Remove the lever by lifting it off the metal spoke.

Set the lever aside with the other parts.

Place the rusty pieces into a bowl and pour white vinegar over them. Wait two hours.

Pull the pieces out carefully and clean the rust off of them. Let the pieces dry.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

I want to try and turn the top of my bill face around because it is a left ringer that I need to put in the right side of my bike. Is that possible?
Mine however appears to have a crimp on only one side that may make moving it not applicable
