Introduction

If the motor burns up or the power switch breaks, you are going to need a whole new motor and shaft for the device, as they come as one piece. This guide will show how to dissemble and remove the motor-shaft assembly.

No parts required.

Make sure the device is powered off and has the battery removed. Locate and remove the two screws with the TR10 Torx Security screwdriver on the back of the device. Locate and remove the two screws with the TR10 Torx Security screwdriver on the back of the device.

Once the two screws are out, you are ready to remove the back plastic cover. Gently lift the cover to an angle from the device and it should pull right out. Gently lift the cover to an angle from the device and it should pull right out.

With the back cover off we now have access to the motor-shaft assembly. While holding the motor-shaft assembly from the bit, gently lift up and pull the motor out. When you take out the motor-shaft assembly, the blue battery contact may become dislodged and the shaft lock button spring may pop out. Make sure to keep track of these pieces as they are very small.
  • With the back cover off we now have access to the motor-shaft assembly.

  • While holding the motor-shaft assembly from the bit, gently lift up and pull the motor out.
