Motorola V180 Connector Ribbon Replacement

What you need

  1. Motorola V180 Connector Ribbon Replacement, Connector Ribbon: step 1, image 1 of 1
    • Gently tug on the upper edge of the faceplate, and it will easily detach.

    • Remove the four screws securing the front cover.

    • Gently glide the metallic silver cover outward.

    • This piece is wedged in tight. Try to slide out one hook at a time, instead of both simultaneously.

    • Insert a pair of tweezers between the silver and black sections of the cover.

    • The silver section should now easily snap away.

    • The black rubber component can now easily be taken off.

  6. Motorola V180 Connector Ribbon Replacement: step 6, image 1 of 1
    • Use a soldering iron to detach the connector ribbon from the phone.
