Disassembling JVC GR-D290U

What you need

  1. Disassembling JVC GR-D290U, Top Cover & LCD Screen: step 1, image 1 of 2 Disassembling JVC GR-D290U, Top Cover & LCD Screen: step 1, image 2 of 2

    • Open the LCD screen and remove 2 hinge screws.

    • Remove hinge cover. Shut screen when finished.

    • Remove 5 screws on bottom panel of camera.

    • Push the eject button on the bottom panel to open the cassette cover.

    • Shut cassette cover when finished.

  4. Disassembling JVC GR-D290U: step 3, image 1 of 1

    • Open LCD screen and move dark gray tab near eyepiece aside.

    • Remove screw under dark gray tab on LCD screen side of camera.

  5. Disassembling JVC GR-D290U: step 4, image 1 of 1

    • Remove 2 screws on side opposite LCD screen.

  6. Disassembling JVC GR-D290U: step 5, image 1 of 2 Disassembling JVC GR-D290U: step 5, image 2 of 2

    • Place plastic opening tool under seam of camera top cover and unsnap cover.

    • Gently pry top cover from camera base.
